If You Remember to Feel Your Feet on the Earth ...

San Francisco, April 2015
If you remember to feel your feet on the Earth, and allow yourself to open into that sensation, you will soon realize that your mind is only the magnificent dome of the great temple of who and what you really are, yes. And then you will behold the altar within, yes, radiant, pulsating, the heart itself, which is actually the blossom-drenched, jewel-encrusted relic of an avatar from another aeon. And then you will discover that underneath the altar, there are insanely beautiful cave paintings on the walls of your belly and groin, yes. And then you will realize that this temple abides in five dimensions and that the one space all five occupy is bathed in an inexhaustible multi-hued light and awash in an almost unbearably exquisite sound, yes. And then you will realize that all of your arms in all of those five dimensions are immense golden nagas and that all of your legs in all of those five dimensions are giant sequoias that are incomprehensibly ancient and yet utterly vibrant, yes. And then you will realize that this is just the beginning of who and what you really are ...

If You Only Knew ...

Dumbledore and Harry Potter at a tribunal in the Ministry of Magic, a scene from a TV broadcast of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"
If you only knew what you won't know until it's too late, I wouldn't have to fail at saying what cannot be said. There is damn good reason it's called "the Razor's Edge." There is damn good reason it's described as a "bridge of hair across a chasm of fire."

Maybe you imagine that you now know what I'm talking about. Maybe you're half right. But it is the other half that will astonish you. For better and worse.

Ecstasy heals hidden wounds. Revelation illuminates the inner wilderness. But there will be new wounds, and new wildernesses, and they will challenge you in ways you will not be able to anticipate.

If you only knew what you won't know until it's too late, I wouldn't have to fail at saying what cannot be said. But it's the price we all pay for journeying on this pathless path, and it is worth every ruby drop we shed along the way. There is damn good reason it has been called "the Razor's Edge." There is damn good reason it has been described as a "bridge of hair across a chasm of fire."

For better and worse. You have been warned.
