New Moon, Awash in Magic

New Moon (U.S. Naval Observatory)

New moon.

In the darkness. Another beginning.
Life is not a straight line. Life is a circle.

When you realize this, "end" and "beginning" take on different meanings.

Similarly, "light" and "darkness" are not opposites.
The one is not the absence of the other.

When you realize this, the nature of reality opens up to you in a profound way.

Radiance. Blessedness.
We are awash in magic.

Equinox 2014: Vita Nuova. Vita Bella.

Botticelli - Primavera (1482)
This is the Vernal Equinox in the north of the world, and the Autumnal Equinox in the south of the world. Dynamic polarity! This is also Persian New Year (Nowruz).

Another opportunity to begin anew. The great wheel turns.
Another forward impetus. Embrace the unknown.

Whatever will be awaits you there, in the darkness of the unknown.
That is where the light is born, and the source from which the light draws its fuel.

There is nothing at all behind you but relics and echoes. Lean forward.
Vita Nuova. Vita Bella. Yes. New life. Beautiful life.

Fleeting, and therefore so precious. Exquisite, and therefore so fragile.
